Description

Day 1. Arrive Bangkok

Met upon arrival and transfer to Holiday Inn Bangkok SilomOvernight at the hotel.

Day 2. Bangkok - Touring of the City

Start your day with a tour of Bangkok's city and temples, a fascinating fusion of the old and the new. After passing through Chinatown, go to the vibrant Indian Market. Visit the tranquil Wat Po, the city's largest and oldest temple, home to the amazing colossal Reclining Buddha, which is more than 150 feet long and about 50 feet high. Drive to Royal Avenue, where the King's Palace and the majority of the government buildings are.

Day 3. Bangkok-Full day

Today take the optional tours that will include journey to the ornate Grand Palace from the 18th century, which serves as the kingdom's symbol and ceremonial center, and to Wat Phra Kaew, also known as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, with its vibrantly colored structures, golden spires, and exquisite mosaics. You can clearly observe how the Grand Palace's European architecture contrasts with the Thai-inspired Wat Phra Kaew. Join the optional canal trip down the Chao Phraya River in the afternoon for a picturesque look at local life along the river as well as a chance to see Wat Arun and other famous sights. Before returning to your accommodation, take a tuk-tuk to dinner at a nearby restaurant.

Day 4. Bangkok - Ayutthaya

Leave Bangkok for Ayutthaya, which was once hailed as one of Southeast Asia's greatest cities and served as Siam's second capital for more than 400 years following Sukhothai. You can imagine the grandeur and magnificence of the old Kingdom of Ayutthaya as you look at the ruins of the former capital and its remaining palaces, monasteries, and towers. Visit Bang Pa-In Palace, a lake-surrounded collection of lovely structures in different architectural styles. The Royal Summer Palace for the Thai Kings was Bang Pa-In, which was initially constructed by King Prasat Thong in 1632. Continue on to the Chai Wattanaram Temple, which was designed as an exact replica of the Angkor Temple. This is a peaceful location where one can ponder and take in the peace. Day 5. Ayutthaya-Sukhothai

Visit Sukhothai, where the Thai people first settled. This location served as the nation's first capital for more than two centuries beginning in 1238. The more than 100 historical landmarks and treasures in Sukhothai, including some of the most exquisite works of Thai art and architecture produced during the city's "golden era" during the 13th and 14th centuries, are well-known across the world. Visit Sukhothai's Old Town, which has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its spectacular Historical Park, which has been meticulously maintained and is situated between green hills and tranquil lotus ponds. The majority of the old city's remnants are visible at this amazing location. Admire the old buildings, including palaces, temples, and Buddha statues from antiquity, and you'll be transported to another period. Ovenight at Sukothai Treassure Hotel.

Day 6. Sukhothai- Chiang Rai

Drive to Chiang Rai in the morning. Arrive and check in at The Riverie by Katathani Hotel.

Day 7. Chiang Rai-Golden Triangle and Mae Sai Border

Travel to Thailand's southernmost border town, Mae Sai. Plans for entering Myanmar* may be made at this border crossing. The meeting point of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos' borders is known as the "Golden Triangle" in Southeast Asia. Ascend to the hilltop viewpoint to see it. Since this is also where the Mekong joins the Ruak River, the area is known as "Sop Ruak" by the locals. Continue on to the eye-catching House of Opium in Golden Triangle, which features an educational exhibition on the nearly 5000-year history of opium. Enjoy a lunch produced locally this afternoon before boarding a long tail boat to travel along the Mekong River's banks between Myanmar, Laos, and Thailand. On this trip, you will observe local farmers and fisherman at their trade and discover more about how the opium trade was connected to this river. Before making the evening trip back to Chiang Rai, stop at an old teak grove to see the centuries-old, enormous teak trees.

A border crossing fee of about $45 is required to enter Myanmar (Burma), and it must be paid locally. The likelihood of border crossing will depend on regional circumstances and cannot be guaranteed. If crossing the border is not possible, other plans will be established.

Day 8. Chiang Rai- Chiang Mai

You can choose to go on an extra excursion to Mae Chan in the morning, where the Akha, Long Neck, and Palong tribes of hill people still live. Before traveling to Chiang Mai, the former capital of the Lanna Kingdom, stop by one of the tribes to observe their distinctive way of life and learn more about their culture. Before reaching Chiang Mai, the cultural center of Northern Thailand, which is situated in the gently sloping foothills of the Himalayas, make a pit stop at a nearby gem gallery. the remainder of the afternoon at your leisure.. Day 9. Chiang Mai-Full day

The morning is free to spend independently exploring this exciting city. Visit Sankampang Street in the afternoon to see live demonstrations of the production of silk, lacquer, and silver goods. After a long day, treat yourself to an optional Thai bodywork

Day 10. Chiang Mai City and Temples

Tour of Chiang Mai's most fascinating temples in the morning. Start at Wat Suan Dok, which is home to the Chiang Mai Royal family's tombs. Continue to Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, the most revered temple in Northern Thailand, which houses a treasured Buddha relic. The mythical Naga (dragon-headed snake) stairway, which has 306 steps leading up to the temple grounds, is equally stunning. After visiting a nearby jade factory, spend the day downtown Chiang Mai at your leisure. An unusual experience tonight. Attend a genuine Thai supper in the home of a Chiang Mai local family. Take a look around the house, talk about life in Chiang Mai, and experience the delicious flavors of home-cooked meals.

Day 11. Chiang Mai-Bangkok by flight

Fly to Bangkok this morning fr om Chiang Mai, wh ere you will then be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure to take advantage of all that Bangkok has to offer. Shop until you drop, explore the numerous fascinating markets, and dine at some of the finest restaurants in this vibrant city. Overnight at Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom Hotel.

Day 12. Depart Bangkok

Transfer to the airport for your flight to onward destination.
