< Suiran is one of the best hotels in the country in the style of a traditional ryokan, which occupies the territory of an ancient villa of the Meiji era. Two historic buildings built by the first owner of the villa, a major industrial magnate, have been preserved. At the same time, since the hotel is part of the Marriott group, all modern amenities that discerning travelers are accustomed to are delicately presented here.
Rooms
The hotel is located on the banks of the Hozu River, in the historic Arashiyama district, famous for its bamboo grove and luxurious park. Each of the thirty-nine rooms has its own outdoor onsen with hot spring water.

The restaurant offers traditional Japanese cuisine with modern motifs. And you can order an unusual dinner on a fishing boat, but not a simple one, but one with which they fish with the help of tamed cormorants — in Japan, this method of fishing has been practiced for more than a thousand years.
